“Let the clash of weapons and the shattering of shields begin!”

Welcome to Pillage, the miniature wargame of the Early Middle Ages that transports you to the heart of epic battles!
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a seasoned strategist, or simply curious to discover a captivating universe, Pillage offers you a unique experience, blending historical accuracy with gaming excitement.
Explore a system that is both accessible and deep, designed to recreate the iconic battles of the period: raids and pillaging. Burn villages, capture loot or future slaves, adapt your strategy to the weather, embark on your Langskip, or defend your sacred relics from northern invaders!
Pillage takes place during the Early Middle Ages and the Viking invasions, from 793 and the raid on Lindisfarne Abbey to the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
It is a time of upheaval and conquest—a world where kingdoms are forged at the tip of a spear, where raiders strike without warning, and where glory means securing a place of honor alongside one's god.
How to Play?
Pillage is designed to be accessible to both new players and veterans.
-
Average game duration: 1 to 2 hours
-
Table size: 48" x 48"
-
Miniatures: Build a warband of around twenty warriors representing one of the seven factions from the rulebook to fight epic battles.

Game Mechanics
-
The game revolves around your warriors’ equipment. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) takes center stage. Your warriors are divided into three armor classes: Unarmored, Partially Armored, and Fully Armored.
-
Each armor class moves more or less quickly on the battlefield depending on the weight of their gear.
-
During simultaneous combat, compare the warriors’ weapons to their opponents’ armor class to determine if they hit.
-
Each weapon has unique characteristics, and Pillage also allows you to field shield walls, berserkers, huscarls, or even supply wagons.
-
You can also play naval battles or start fires that can spread. And don’t forget to keep an eye on the weather!
-
At the heart of the game lies the ability to capture loot, search buildings, and take civilians hostage to secure victory. Of course, many scenarios are possible, and the game rules are flexible enough to let you create your own objectives.

7 Factions
Pillage offers seven Western factions:
Vikings, Franks, Anglo-Saxons, Normans, Bretons, Welsh, and Irish (including Picts and Scots).
Each has unique characteristics, and equipment costs differ between factions.
Every warband must have a leader, who can have up to two special skills, impacting themselves or your entire army. Each faction has its own exclusive skills, and some skills are generic.
You’ll need to decide whether to spend your budget on powerful skills or additional troops!
